About the role#
As a tax intern at Forvis Mazars, you will work on client engagements similar to those assigned to entry-level associates. This role provides exposure to a variety of industries and allows you to apply your technical accounting knowledge in a professional setting. You will work alongside senior staff, managers, and partners to develop your skills and gain experience in public accounting.
What you'll do#
- Reconcile account differences by working with client personnel.
- Analyze financial data.
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
- Calculate tax extensions or estimate payments.
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- You must be working toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Satisfactory academic performance in accounting coursework.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Strong oral and written communication skills plus computer proficiency.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A problem-solving attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure against deadlines.
- Effective time management skills.
