About the role#
As an Audit Intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain experience in public accounting by working on client engagements similar to those assigned to our entry-level associates. You will work alongside our senior staff and management, learning from their experience as you develop your technical skills. This position is based in Tulsa and takes place during the Summer 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- Working toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework.
- A minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Effective time management and strong communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A problem-solving attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure against deadlines.
- Reliable transportation for travel to the office and off-site client meetings.
