About the role#
As an Audit Intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain hands-on experience by working on client engagements similar to those assigned to our entry-level associates. You will work directly with senior staff and management, gaining exposure to various industries while developing your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts, such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Working toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to manage your time effectively and work under pressure against deadlines.
- A problem-solving attitude and the willingness to take initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with close attention to detail.
