About the role#
As an intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain experience that helps you decide if public accounting is the right path for your career. You will work on client engagements similar to those assigned to entry-level associates. This role provides exposure to a variety of industries while you develop your technical skills alongside senior staff and management.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- Working toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework.
- Minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Effective time management and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and independently.
- A problem-solving attitude, willingness to take initiative, and close attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
- Reliable transportation to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
