About the role#
This internship provides exposure to audit engagements. You will work alongside senior staff and management to gain experience in public accounting. This role is designed for students to test their technical skills in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participate in client meetings.
What you'll need#
- Working toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and satisfactory academic performance in accounting coursework.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and a problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to take initiative.
- Reliable transportation for office and off-site meetings.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong computer skills are preferred.
