About the role#
As an Audit Intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain practical experience by working on client engagements similar to those assigned to our entry-level associates. You will work alongside senior staff and management, gaining exposure to a variety of industries while developing your technical skills. This position is for the Winter 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participate in client meetings alongside firm partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework.
- Minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Strong oral, written, and computer skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A problem-solving attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure against deadlines.
- Effective time management skills.
