About the role#
As an Audit Intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain experience in public accounting by working on client engagements similar to those assigned to our entry-level associates. You will work alongside partners, managers, and senior staff to develop your technical skills and explore your career interests in the audit field.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Accounting program while working toward CPA Exam eligibility.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and strong computer skills.
- Effective time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A problem-solving attitude, willingness to take initiative, and close attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.
- Reliable transportation to and from your assigned office to attend meetings and events.
