Forum Asset Management is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to contribute to the development and scaling of an enterprise data platform. This role focuses on the full data lifecycle, from raw ingestion to the creation of business insights, using modern cloud technologies. You will work on-site in a collaborative environment, addressing real-world data challenges within the investment management and real estate sectors.
What you'll do#
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
- Ingest and clean data from various internal and external sources.
- Support the development of data models and structured datasets.
- Utilize Azure tools, including Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric.
- Optimize data workflows to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with software developers and business teams to address data requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and/or SQL.
- Understanding of data structures and basic data modeling concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in data engineering, analytics, or big data systems.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario (181 Bay Street).
- Term: Fall 2026 (4-month or 8-month duration).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site (5 days per week).
- Compensation: Paid position ($900/week CAD).
