This is a full-time, 8-month engineering co-op position starting in Fall 2026. The role focuses on the design and operation of natural gas facilities and pipelines, offering exposure to the organization's operating and engineering groups.
What you'll do#
- Review standard design practices for natural gas facilities and pipelines, including updating material specifications, guidelines, and drawings.
- Conduct site visits to gain an understanding of the Transmission and Distribution gas system.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to review technical information regarding new utility products and practices.
- Perform engineering assessments to identify opportunities and deficiencies, and prepare written reports and proposals for infrastructure projects.
- Recommend process improvements and ensure all work complies with company and industry codes and standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program, with preference for third or fourth-year students.
- Experience or knowledge of CAD applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and P&ID drawings of piping systems.
- Experience with report and memo writing in a corporate environment.
- Competent public speaking skills.
- A valid BC driver’s license or provincial equivalent.

- Compensation: $25.68 to $28.70 per hour
