About the role#
Folia Materials is looking for a Culinary Science Intern for the Winter 2027 term. You will work with our paper-based microwave packaging to test how it affects food quality. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Waltham.
What you'll do#
- Screen frozen food products to find the best candidates for our microwave packaging.
- Conduct culinary work and temperature testing to measure microwave food performance.
- Perform sensory evaluations to assess changes in taste, texture, and overall quality.
- Create product demos for internal use and client presentations.
- Use lab and food testing equipment to collect quantitative and qualitative data.
- Document your testing procedures and results in an organized way.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate in culinary science, culinology, food science, or professional chef experience.
- A methodical approach to work and comfort with repetitive testing.
- Experience with frozen or processed foods, product development, or sensory analysis is a plus.
