UH Internship (Current UH Manoa and UH West Oahu Students Only)

About the role#

The First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) Internship Program introduces students to the property and casualty insurance industry. This program provides exposure to various career paths and operational functions within the organization through rotations and job shadowing.

What you'll do#

• Rotate through various key departments to gain exposure to different business functions.
• Accompany professionals on job shadowing and ridealong opportunities.
• Collaborate on a team project throughout the program.
• Present project findings to company leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current student at the University of Hawaii (Shidler College of Business and UHWO Risk Management Certification students are preferred).
• Ability to commit to 10 hours per week over a 15-week period.
• A strong interest in learning about the various roles and functions within the insurance industry.
• A curious, engaged, and self-starting mindset with the initiative to ask questions.
• Ability to work independently on projects and present findings effectively.
