About the role#
This internship program introduces students to the property and casualty insurance industry. Participants will gain exposure to various career paths within the organization through rotations across key departments and job shadowing opportunities with professionals.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through different departments to observe operational functions.
- Participate in ridealong and job shadowing opportunities.
- Complete a team project throughout the program.
- Present project findings to company leadership at the conclusion of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of Hawaii (students from the Shidler College of Business and UHWO Risk Management Certification programs are preferred).
- Ability to commit to 10 hours per week over a 15-week period.
- Strong interest in learning about the functions and roles within the insurance industry.
- Curiosity and a self-starting attitude, including the initiative to ask questions.
- Capability to work independently on projects and present findings to leadership.

- Availability: Spring and Fall semesters.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
