About the role#
This 10-week summer program offers hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. You will work on-site in Chicago to gain exposure to production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and environmental health and safety. The program includes mentorship, leadership sessions, and a final presentation to senior leaders. Successful interns may be considered for full-time offers, which require flexibility to relocate for future rotational assignments.
What you'll do#
- Lead by example and build strong relationships with production employees.
- Work to meet and exceed daily production goals.
- Focus on safety and improve processes.
- Manage projects across areas like continuous improvement and inventory supply.
What you'll need#
- You are a current junior or third-year student.
- You are pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- You have experience with Lean principles.
- You show leadership through on-campus activities.
- You possess strong presentation, empathy, and collaboration skills.
- You are an agile thinker.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
