About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Accounting internship based in Owatonna, Minnesota. You will work within our accounting operations team during the summer of 2027. You will be paired with a mentor to help you navigate your projects and provide support throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Complete bank and account reconcilements.
- Participate in quarterly financial statement presentations and industry earnings calls.
- Prepare annual statements for insurance entities.
- Complete regulatory filings for state agencies.
- Assist with gathering data for external auditors and preparing audited financial statements and notes.
- Present a summary of your internship experience to the accounting operations team and Human Resources at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a Junior or Senior Accounting major.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.2.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
