The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking an Archives Intern to support the Research Department. Working under the supervision of the Archivist, this role focuses on identifying, collecting, and preserving materials that document the institutional history of the Bank since 1914. This is a part-time, on-site internship position.
What you'll do#
- Arrange, preserve, and describe textual and audiovisual materials.
- Conduct inventories on items and collections.
- Catalog and scan documents and photographs.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student or recent graduate, preferably in an archives management or public history program.
- Working knowledge of the basic principles of arrangement, description, and preservation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant coursework in History, Public Health, Communications, Human Resources, or Anthropology.
- Experience with audiovisual materials is desired but not required.

- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18–$36 per hour, based on academic standing and experience.
- Term: Rolling, with the potential for extension into the fall.
- Employment status: Part-time, temporary.
