About the role#
FCCI Insurance Group is hiring an Underwriting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ridgeland, Mississippi. You will gain exposure to various departments across the organization to build your knowledge of the insurance business.
What you'll do#
- Assist professionals with day-to-day job assignments to build your professional skills.
- Participate in networking, mentoring, and community service activities.
- Engage in real-life work tasks to learn about the insurance industry.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student status, preferably having completed your junior year.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and stay organized.
- A customer-oriented mindset and the ability to work well with others.
- A willingness to pursue professional insurance designations and continued education.
