Finance & AI Automation Intern

About the role#

This internship is designed for a technically-minded student interested in applying AI to corporate finance operations. You will support the finance team by integrating AI tools and basic automation to improve efficiency in data processing, reporting, and research. This role provides exposure to capital markets, funding activities, and investor relations within a public company environment.

What you'll do#

• Use AI tools and basic coding to streamline data cleaning, categorization, and reporting tasks.
• Assist in building, testing, and documenting small-scale automations and AI workflows.
• Support core finance functions, including financial analysis, reconciliations, and month-end data preparation.
• Help track equity financing, convertible instruments, and funding timelines, including support for cap-table and dilution trackers.
• Conduct market, peer, and investor research, preparing summaries for the finance and investor relations teams.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong aptitude for AI and technology, with experience in basic coding (such as Python) or building simple automations through projects or coursework.
• Ability to read a basic P&L or a strong eagerness to learn financial systems and data.
• Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Interest in capital markets, fundraising, and investor materials.
• Familiarity with no-code automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make) is a plus.
• Bilingual skills in Mandarin Chinese are considered an asset.
