Accounting Intern

About the role#

As an Accounting Intern, you will support the daily operations of a public-company finance team. This role involves working with real transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. You will gain experience in core accounting while utilizing AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve team efficiency. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in accounting, FP&A, and public-company reporting.

What you'll do#

• Support journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Help prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for audit and US GAAP compliance.
• Assist with budget vs. actual and cost-category analysis.
• Use AI tools to automate data cleaning, transaction categorization, and reporting workflows.
• Maintain clean and organized accounting records.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, and the close cycle.
• Comfortable learning and working in financial systems and ERP software.
• High level of detail orientation and dependability.
• Interest in learning FP&A, treasury, and public-company reporting.
