The Architectural Drafter Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Manager of Architecture & Design to support the Design Department. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD and Revit to prepare construction documents, generate furniture and commissioning plans, and assist with various design-related tasks. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Assist with programming and schematic design, including conducting preliminary site visits and field verifications.
- Review construction documents to ensure they align with industry-standard drawing formats and annotation techniques.
- Prepare design presentations and renderings.
- Research and evaluate materials, products, and potential manufacturers, including reviewing installation details and warranty information.
- Research jurisdictional requirements, such as applicable building codes and plan check processes.
- Maintain an organized file system for project documentation.
- Coordinate with project consultants, including architecture firms and engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for the preparation of construction documents.
- Knowledge of building codes, architectural detailing, construction materials, and design requirements.
- Good academic standing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and oral instructions.

- Note: This role requires occasional travel between sites. Candidates must possess a valid California driver’s license, an automobile, and proof of insurance.
