About the role#
The Project Engineer Intern supports construction projects through design tracking and coordination. You will work within disciplines such as BIM/CAD, pre-construction, operations, and project management. This role involves learning company processes and contributing to the execution of the Everus 4EVER strategy.
What you'll do#
- Participate in orientation to learn company history, goals, and procedures.
- Complete training in safety, including proper PPE, OSHA requirements, defensive driving, and DOT standards.
- Assist with estimating, take-offs, and Accubid software.
- Work on phasing, cost tracking, BIM/CAD detailing, and prefabrication.
- Support schedule tracking, tool and equipment management, and process improvement initiatives.
- Learn internal controls related to Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Use SharePoint for job site management and documentation.
- Assist with contract reviews, change orders, projected costs, and job cost productivity tracking.
- Support material management, billing, and scheduling.
- Learn about the foreman's role, equipment maintenance, and field communications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program.
- A strong interest in electrical construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

- Location: Mesa, Arizona.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The position is on-site.
- Background checks, credit checks, MVR, and drug screens may be required.
