Strategic Sourcing Intern – Vendor Relations & Contract Management

About the role#

The Strategic Sourcing Intern will support the sourcing and procurement team with a primary focus on vendor relations, contract administration, and supplier data management. This role provides hands-on exposure to supplier engagement, contract lifecycle processes, and strategic sourcing initiatives while working with internal stakeholders and external partners.

What you'll do#

• Maintain positive relationships with suppliers through regular communication and follow-ups.
• Coordinate supplier meetings, performance reviews, and onboarding activities.
• Track supplier performance metrics, compliance requirements, and issue resolution.
• Maintain organized vendor records and ensure accurate information in sourcing systems.
• Support the full contract lifecycle, including intake, documentation, renewals, and archiving.
• Assist in reviewing contracts for completeness and compliance with internal standards.
• Maintain contract databases and track critical dates such as expirations and amendments.
• Partner with legal and finance departments to support contract-related inquiries.
• Assist with data analysis related to spend, suppliers, and contract utilization.
• Prepare sourcing documentation, summaries, and presentations.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
