About the role#
The Strategic Sourcing Intern will support the sourcing and procurement team with a primary focus on vendor relations, contract administration, and supplier data management. This role provides hands-on exposure to supplier engagement, contract lifecycle processes, and strategic sourcing initiatives while working with internal stakeholders and external partners.
What you'll do#
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers through regular communication and follow-ups.
- Coordinate supplier meetings, performance reviews, and onboarding activities.
- Track supplier performance metrics, compliance requirements, and issue resolution.
- Maintain organized vendor records and ensure accurate information in sourcing systems.
- Support the full contract lifecycle, including intake, documentation, renewals, and archiving.
- Assist in reviewing contracts for completeness and compliance with internal standards.
- Maintain contract databases and track critical dates such as expirations and amendments.
- Partner with legal and finance departments to support contract-related inquiries.
- Assist with data analysis related to spend, suppliers, and contract utilization.
- Prepare sourcing documentation, summaries, and presentations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
