About the role#
Estes Energy is a technical team building zero-emission power systems for commercial vehicles and equipment. As an Engineering Intern, you will work on live projects alongside senior engineers. You will contribute to actual systems and take ownership of a defined project to drive a measurable result by the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design, build, and test of components or subsystems.
- Develop and run experiments to test hypotheses and turn data into decisions.
- Build tools, models, fixtures, or analyses that help the team work faster.
- Document your work and present findings to the team.
- Take ownership of a defined project and drive it to a measurable result.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Manufacturing, Systems, Material Science, Metallurgy, or a related engineering field.
- A bias toward making things, supported by hands-on project, lab, or build-team experience.
- Comfort with experimentation and data, including a focus on data integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate directly.
- A curious and rigorous mindset that challenges assumptions to find the root of a problem.
