As a Student Optician, you will work under the supervision of a Licensed Optician to deliver quality eye care and service. This role focuses on providing a personalized experience for customers, assisting with product selection, and ensuring that all optical services meet high professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist customers with frame selections and provide expert product recommendations.
- Record measurements and perform accurate eyewear adjustments and fittings.
- Operate the Point of Sale terminal to process customer and prescription information.
- Maintain the organization and visual appearance of the store displays.
- Educate customers on services and answer questions regarding optical products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Opticianry program.
- Prior experience in optical dispensing.
- Solid understanding of current optical theory and merchandise.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in using tablets or iPads for sales and customer engagement.
