Student Optician

About the role#

As a Student Optician, you will work under the supervision of a Licensed Optician to deliver high-quality vision care and exceptional customer experiences. This part-time, on-site position focuses on assisting customers with eyewear selections, ensuring precise measurements, and maintaining the professional appearance of the store.

What you'll do#

• Deliver signature customer experiences by proactively assisting customers with eyewear selections and providing expert recommendations.
• Record accurate measurements and perform adjustments to fit eyewear correctly, ensuring all customer needs are met.
• Operate the Point of Sale terminal to input customer and prescription information with high attention to detail.
• Maintain the store and visual displays to ensure a professional environment.
• Educate customers on adjustment services and answer questions regarding products.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an Opticianry program.
• Prior experience in optical dispensing.
• Solid understanding of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Proficiency in using technology, including the ability to carry and use an iPad or tablet for sales and customer engagement.
