ESI, Inc. is seeking a Project Intern to support our project teams on electrical construction projects during Summer 2026. This full-time, on-site role provides hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle, including electrical system design, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, materials procurement, cost control, and quality management. You will work directly with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents to ensure project success.
What you'll do#
- Assist with drawing and document coordination, including organizing project files and distributing documents to relevant parties.
- Prepare essential project documentation such as submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and bid proposals.
- Maintain project matrices for document control and track RFIs, drawings, and change orders using Microsoft Excel.
- Develop drawings for the installation of electrical components.
- Interface professionally with architects, trade contractors, vendors, and management teams.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years toward a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record, as this position requires driving.
