About the role#
This is a temporary, per diem internship focused on supporting Epic electronic health record (EHR) training. You will help staff learn the system, manage technical issues, and maintain educational content. This role requires completing the Epic credentialing process, which includes a 3 to 4 week training program, a teaching presentation, and a final exam.
What you'll do#
- Deliver in-classroom instruction and lead competency testing for various Epic end users.
- Provide customer support and document Epic issues in the IS ticketing system.
- Assist end users with go-live support during project activation periods.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including online eLearning content.
- Manage the scheduling and readiness of training rooms.
- Learn assigned Epic module functionality and understand clinical or business workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a two or four year program in IT, Education, or a healthcare related field.
- Ability to learn Epic module functionality and obtain credentialed status.
- Experience providing technical or customer support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for group presentations.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with software implementations, training design, or EHR systems is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Chico, California, at the Business Services Center.
- Work is on-site with travel required to other Enloe sites for meetings and classes.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Shifts are 8 hours long, scheduled during the day, Monday through Friday.
