About the role#
The Information Services Epic Training Intern provides customer support and instruction for the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This is a per diem, temporary, and on-site position based in Chico, California. Interns must complete the Epic credentialing process, which includes a 3 to 4-week training program, a teaching presentation, and a credentialing exam.
What you'll do#
- Deliver in-classroom instruction and competency testing for diverse end-user roles.
- Provide one-on-one training and specialized tutorial sessions.
- Assist with go-live support for end users during project activation periods.
- Document Epic issues and resolutions accurately and in detail within the IS ticketing system.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including the creation and administration of eLearning content.
- Manage the scheduling and readiness of training rooms.
- Learn assigned Epic module functionality and end-user workflows to support business and clinical requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a two or four-year degree program in IT, Education, or a healthcare-related field.
- Ability to obtain credentialed status in assigned Epic modules.
- Experience providing technical or customer support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to large groups.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products and desktop applications.
- Preferred: Experience with software implementations, training program design, or working in a healthcare environment with an EHR.

- Location: Chico, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $18.35 to $24.78 per hour, based on experience.
