About the role#
As a Construction Management Intern, you will join active projects and work directly with Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Project Managers. This role bridges classroom learning with real-world construction. You will contribute to project success while developing technical and professional skills. We offer mentorship from experienced professionals and exposure to various career paths within the industry.
What you'll do#
- Represent ESI professionally with customers, design teams, city officials, and subcontractors.
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution across various construction phases.
- Support project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, drawing updates, and meeting minutes.
- Help with field operations and the coordination of trade partners.
- Participate in project meetings, jobsite walks, and team problem solving.
- Gain exposure to bidding, project management, operations, closeout, and warranty activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
- Graduation date within the next two years or less.
- Strong interest in building a career in construction and project management.
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Meridian, Idaho.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Scheduling is flexible based on your school commitments and project needs, typically requiring 20+ hours per week during the school year and 40+ hours per week in the summer.
