About the role#
EnergyX is seeking summer interns to join our team in Austin. You will contribute to initiatives across business development, growth strategy, and research and development. Depending on your major, you will support our work in lithium extraction and battery technologies.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations, scientific research, and technology development.
- Assist with the scale-up of extraction and battery technologies in our lab and piloting warehouse.
- Help the science team with sample preparation, analysis, membrane testing, and electrodialysis assembly.
- Conduct research for business development and competitor analysis.
- Manage back-end functions and systems.
- Help team members deliver projects.
- Keep up to date with news in the lithium and renewable energy space.
- Support any initiative needed, including routine tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, material science, environmental science, marketing, business, or finance.
- Prior lab internship or work experience outside of a university setting.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain a flexible schedule, and execute assigned tasks.
- A hard-working mentality and willingness to assist management with various jobs.
- Ability to ask for help when needed.
- A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of direct lithium extraction is a plus, but not required.
