About the role#
As an Industrial Engineering Co-op, you will support our team with process improvement efforts that increase efficiency, productivity, and operational effectiveness. This 14-16 week program provides hands-on experience with real business needs while you work alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Support production improvements and lean process initiatives.
- Create and update technical documentation, including Work Instructions and TPM.
- Participate in kaizen events and cross-functional team projects.
- Communicate with external vendors to get tooling quotes and prepare production orders.
- Manage ISO 9001 Quality process documentation through creation, implementation, and audits.
- Update plant layouts by verifying equipment, workstations, storage areas, and workflow paths.
- Incorporate changes into layout documentation to support space planning, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Provide hands-on help in the production and construction of tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Fulfilling a co-op requirement as part of your academic coursework.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement, build action plans, and drive initiatives.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to make informed decisions independently.
- Enthusiasm for learning and taking ownership of tasks.
- Commitment to fostering trust, respect, and support for others.
Location & details#
- Location: Greenwood, Indiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- This is a paid position.
