About the role#
As a Civil Survey Intern at Elevation Land Solutions, you will work on the full lifecycle of land development projects. You will gain field experience and support project execution from initial concept through final construction. This role involves working under the guidance of our survey team to assist with technical tasks and project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Support the survey team with technical tasks including Geographic Information Systems, feasibility projects, construction staking, and calculations.
- Perform CAD drafting and assist in producing final surveys such as title, boundary, as-built, topographic, and control surveys.
- Draft subdivision plats and metes and bounds legal descriptions.
- Conduct field work using total stations, GPS, and lidar or photogrammetry drones.
- Collaborate with the Engineering, Construction, and Production divisions on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Maintain professional relationships across departments and submit accurate timesheets.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a strong sense of initiative.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work with urgency to meet deadlines and willingness to support additional hours when needed.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, navigate uneven terrain, stand or walk for extended periods, and lift or carry equipment.
