About the role#
This is a 10-week paid summer internship within the Echo Global Logistics sales team. You will spend the summer learning the logistics industry and the full process of becoming a sales representative. You will be partnered with a mentor and work on real-world projects to gain experience in the transportation sector.
What you'll do#
- Build, maintain and manage account relationships.
- Profile and analyze accounts to overcome objections and generate quality opportunities.
- Present the value of Echo services to prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer service on every shipment.
- Monitor the progress of shipments to ensure coverage, on-time performance, and the resolution of mid-transit issues.
- Work with teammates to prioritize and service customers in a timely fashion.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a university as a rising senior.
- At least one semester of school remaining after the internship ends.
- Ability to start on May 24, 2027, and complete the full 10-week program.
- Strong skills in problem solving, communication, time management, and project management.
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to collaborate.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Logistics.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Overland Park, KS or Detroit, MI.
- The position follows a hybrid work model.
- This is a full-time internship program.
