About the role#
The Margaret Little Blount Library branch of the Sheppard Memorial Library is hiring librarian assistants for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 terms. This is a paid Federal Work Study position located off-campus in Bethel, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Help patrons locate materials.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for library items.
- Retrieve materials from book drops.
- Support patrons with public access computers, including software, applications, and internet use.
- Assist staff with children's programs and other special events.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current ECU student in good standing.
- A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required.
- You must qualify and receive a Federal Work Study award from the ECU Financial Aid Office.
Location & details#
- Location: Bethel, North Carolina.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Pay rate: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour.
