About the role#
The Sheppard Memorial Library branch in Winterville is looking for librarian assistants to join their team. This position is part of the Federal Work Study program and runs through the Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist patrons in locating library materials.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for books and media.
- Collect and process items returned to book drops.
- Support patrons with public access computers, including help with software, apps, and internet navigation.
- Complete other tasks as needed by library staff.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at East Carolina University.
- You must be in good standing and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- You must qualify for and receive a Federal Work Study award from the ECU Financial Aid Office.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role located in Winterville, North Carolina.
- The pay rate is $12.00 to $14.00 per hour.
