Junior Structural Engineer Intern

About the role#

As a Junior Structural Engineer Intern, you will work on specific engineering design and analysis tasks under the supervision of a structural engineer. Your responsibilities and the complexity of your assignments will evolve based on your performance and initiative. This is a full-time, paid internship role.

What you'll do#

• Assist engineers in preparing project designs using the latest codes and standards.
• Perform structural design and calculations as directed by senior staff.
• Utilize design software, in-house spreadsheets, and manual calculations to verify results.
• Prepare basic material take-offs, reports, and presentations.
• Coordinate with drafting staff to produce finished drawings from sketches or prepare structural drawings to a high standard.
• Follow company standards and procedures for design and checking.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a bachelor's degree program in Structural Engineering.
• Introductory knowledge of engineering mechanics.
• Ability to work under close supervision and follow instructions.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility to handle frequent changes in deadlines and work under pressure.
