About the role#
As a Junior Structural Engineer Intern, you will work on specific engineering design and analysis tasks under the supervision of senior structural engineers. Your responsibilities and the complexity of your assignments will evolve based on your performance and your willingness to grow within the team.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing project designs using current codes and standards.
- Perform simple structural design and calculations as directed.
- Utilize design software, in-house spreadsheets, and manual calculations to verify outputs.
- Prepare basic material take-offs, reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with drafting staff to produce finished structural drawings and sketches to a high standard.
- Follow company design and checking procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree program in Structural Engineering.
- Introductory knowledge of engineering mechanics.
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow instructions.
- Flexibility to handle frequent changes in deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to assist team members.
