About the role#
As a Junior Structural Engineer Intern, you will work on specific engineering design and analysis tasks under the supervision of a structural engineer. Your responsibilities and the complexity of your assignments will evolve based on your performance and initiative. This is a full-time, paid internship role.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing project designs using the latest codes and standards.
- Perform structural design and calculations as directed by senior staff.
- Utilize design software, in-house spreadsheets, and manual calculations to verify results.
- Prepare basic material take-offs, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinate with drafting staff to produce finished drawings from sketches or prepare structural drawings to a high standard.
- Follow company standards and procedures for design and checking.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a bachelor's degree program in Structural Engineering.
- Introductory knowledge of engineering mechanics.
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow instructions.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to handle frequent changes in deadlines and work under pressure.
