About the role#
DwyerOmega is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site internship in Michigan City, Indiana, provides hands-on experience working alongside our engineering team on design, testing, and product maintenance projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in maintaining and improving current products by troubleshooting issues, testing alternative designs, and implementing enhancements.
- Perform electrical and environmental tests to validate design concepts and verify product performance and reliability.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and collaborate with the design team to develop new products.
- Work in both office and manufacturing environments, which may require wearing personal protective equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
- A motivated and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and move safely throughout office and manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
