About the role#
This internship offers a 10-week opportunity to work with experienced surveyors and project teams. You will gain hands-on experience in land surveying, data collection, and office-based project support. This role is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist survey crews in the field with equipment setup, measurements, and data collection.
- Process survey data and prepare maps or reports in the office.
- Verify the accuracy of field data and maintain proper documentation.
- Organize project files, maintain records, and handle administrative tasks.
- Observe professional surveying practices and gain experience with GPS, total stations, and CAD software.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of surveying principles and practices.
- Familiarity with GPS, total stations, or other survey instruments.
- Basic understanding of CAD software and data processing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well both independently and in a team.
- A professional, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new field techniques and technology.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- This position is on-site at our offices in Fort Worth, Houston, Dallas, Austin, or Midland, Texas.
- This is a paid, full-time summer internship.
