    About the role#

    The Duke Initiative for Science & Society is hiring an Admin Intern to support the Trustworthy Technology Lab. You will report to the Program Coordinator and contribute to research on responsible innovation and emerging technologies within an academic environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Recruit, onboard, and manage a multidisciplinary team of students to conduct novel research projects regarding trustworthy technology.
    • Oversee ongoing student research projects.
    • Author publications, blogs, presentations, and other communications pieces to share research findings.
    • Contribute to research focused on responsible innovation and emerging technologies.

    What you'll need#

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Public Policy, Cybersecurity, Health Policy, or Technology Policy.
    • Substantive knowledge in at least one area at the intersection of ethics and innovation.
    • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
    • Project management, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and attention to detail skills.
    • The ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple priorities.
    • The ability to manage student teams and research-related activities.

    Preferred qualifications include a Master of Arts in Public Policy, at least one year of experience in program administration or related academic activities, and experience in relationship management or administrative operations.

    • Compensation: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
