About the role#
This internship provides law students with practical experience in criminal prosecution. You will work alongside experienced prosecutors on actual criminal cases, including matters involving violent crimes. The program is designed to prepare students for future roles as 3L interns and potential deputy district attorneys. Interns are treated as part of the team and participate in office meetings and trainings.
What you'll do#
- Assist in all stages of criminal prosecution, from the initial investigation through trial.
- Research legal issues and draft necessary pleadings.
- Observe courtroom proceedings as legal issues are litigated.
- Review new felony filings to identify evidentiary challenges.
- Prepare exhibits for use in trial.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in law school.
- Completion of your first year of law school.

- This position is located in Castle Rock, Colorado.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a part-time position for the Winter 2027 term.
- The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.
