About the role#
As a Construction Management Intern at DN, you will work with our Construction and Operations teams to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and construction. You will be paired with a mentor to contribute to real projects, develop technical skills, and learn the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction projects from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid and post-bid pricing for concrete and shotcrete mixes.
- Work with suppliers to develop and trial batch concrete and shotcrete mix designs.
- Assist Project Engineers with the preparation of detailed project submittals.
- Use AutoCAD to develop site layout drawings, including cut and fill slopes, ramps, work roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations.
- Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
- Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers before concrete placements.
- Visit local construction sites during precast panel erection.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program, with a preference for Civil Engineering.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and solve problems in both individual and team settings.
- Reliable transportation to Littleton, CO, and various project sites across Colorado.

- This is an on-site, full-time internship based in Littleton, CO.
- The position is paid and follows a rolling term.
