    About the role#

    The Engineer Intern role provides hands-on experience in the design of MEP systems. You will work within the engineering team to produce construction documents, assist with project specifications, and support the construction administration process. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines or focus on specialized areas such as power systems, CFD, or ICT. You will work under supervision to learn company policies, resolve routine issues, and contribute to project goals.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform basic engineering design tasks, standard computations, and analysis.
    • Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare drawings and visual aids.
    • Assist in the review of drawing details, schedules, and sequences of operations.
    • Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports.
    • Collect data for construction documents and assist in their preparation.
    • Review shop drawings, submittals, and organize responses to RFIs.
    • Assist with punch lists and project closeout documentation.
    • Prepare project progress reports and maintain logs for shop drawings and RFIs.
    • Manage personal hours using company tools.
    • Leverage digital and AI-enabled tools to improve processes and efficiency.
    • Adapt to emerging technologies and digital workflows.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or architectural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
    • Sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and strong file management skills.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail when completing assignments.
    • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with self-motivation and proactiveness.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work as part of a team or independently under supervision.
    • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
    • Ability to follow site and company safety requirements.

    Location & details#

    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: Remote within the United States.
    • Employment type: Full-time.
    • Training: Attendance is required at a one-week, in-person onboarding program at the company training facility in Holmdel, New Jersey. Travel expenses are covered by the company.
    • Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required to various locations within the United States.
