About the role#
As an intern at Delek US, you will support department initiatives by assisting with daily activities, projects, and analysis. You will work alongside professionals to gain insight into how your department contributes to overall business operations. This role requires a commitment to safety and the ability to adapt to organizational changes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day activities, project work, and analysis to support department objectives.
- Partner with team members to achieve common goals and drive performance results.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations.
- Identify and initiate changes that improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Process).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week during the summer program.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Knowledge of business, accounting, or finance principles, IT software, or industrial equipment reliability depending on the department.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- Location: El Dorado, Arkansas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: When working in the refinery, you may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, and outside weather. Physical tasks may include climbing, standing, crawling, and entering confined spaces. Required personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
