About the role#
As an SEO/GEO Coordinator Co-op, you will support Sonnet's SEO and Generative Engine Optimization initiatives. You will report to the SEO/GEO Manager and work closely with content, UX, development, and marketing teams to improve search visibility.
What you'll do#
- Support the execution of SEO and GEO strategies.
- Conduct technical audits and identify content optimization opportunities.
- Analyze website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio.
- Perform keyword, search intent, and competitive research.
- Assist in developing SEO and GEO content briefs.
- Optimize on-page metadata, heading structures, and internal linking.
- Monitor organic search performance and maintain reporting dashboards.
- Support AI search initiatives through research and analysis.
- Conduct SEO QA for website releases and measure performance results.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MBA, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in SEO through internships, co-ops, agency work, or in-house marketing.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and tools like SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or Looker Studio.
- Working knowledge of HTML and website structures, with basic knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, or CMS platforms.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Interest in GEO, AI-powered search, and emerging digital channels.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, ON, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 (4 months).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: Starts at $22.50 per hour, adjusted based on skills, education, and experience.
- This is a full-time position requiring successful clearance of a background check.
