Digital Contact Center (Personal Insurance) - Fall 2026 - Co-op/Intern

About the role#

Join the Digital Contact Centre as a co-op student to support the Personal Insurance team. This role provides a hands-on opportunity to learn how a modern, tech-enabled insurance contact center operates while building customer service, analytical, and operational skills. You will contribute to a digital-first insurance experience by assisting with customer inquiries, processing policy changes, and improving operational efficiency.

What you'll do#

• Respond to client and internal inquiries through digital channels including email, case systems, and platforms.
• Process policy-related requests such as updates, cancellations, endorsements, and documentation requests.
• Utilize platforms like Guidewire and internal case management tools to manage requests, triage cases, and route tasks.
• Support basic underwriting checks for simple policy scenarios and identify cases requiring escalation.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and contribute to workflow efficiency by identifying opportunities and sharing feedback.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a university degree or college diploma in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new systems such as Guidewire.
• Excellent customer service mindset with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• A basic understanding of insurance principles and underwriting concepts is considered an asset.
• Progress toward or completion of a CIP designation is considered an asset.

• Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
• Term: Fall 2026 (8-month duration).
• Modality: Hybrid.
• Compensation: Starting at $22.50 per hour, with potential for increase based on skills, education, experience, and institutional rates.
• Requirement: Successful clearance of a background check, including criminal checks and references.
