The Project Engineering Intern will support the coordination of engineering business activities across all De Havilland Field sites. This role focuses on ensuring the engineering team operates efficiently by centralizing information, streamlining communication, and developing internal processes. This is a full-time, paid position for a 12-16 month term starting in September 2026.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate engineering business activities and support the rollout of new processes and tools.
- Maintain databases, action registers, and financial data.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly governance packages.
- Produce quality governance and reporting materials.
- Support project milestone and deliverable tracking, including the identification of potential risks and roadblocks.
- Co-chair meetings, including Project Reviews, and assist with process revisions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program for Business Administration, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Previous internship or work experience in project coordination or management.
- Strong academic performance.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality outputs.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026 start (12-16 month duration).
- Physical requirements: The role may require working in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, confined spaces, or heights. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching, and must adhere to all health and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
