About the role#
The Adamah on Campus LA Intern will support the Youth Empowerment Department by facilitating Jewish environmental programming across Los Angeles campuses. This part-time role runs from September 1, 2026, to December 15, 2026, requiring 5 to 8 hours of work per week. The position is compensated with a $2,000 stipend.
What you'll do#
- Attend weekly check-ins with your supervisor and participate in Adamah LA Hub meetings.
- Advise students on mini-grant applications for climate-justice events, workshops, and Eco-Shabbat dinners.
- Manage outreach and promotion for Eco Shabbat and Tu B’Shvat programming in the Southern California region.
- Coordinate logistics for the November 2026 Immersive Day Retreat, including travel, guest speakers, and dietary planning.
- Serve as a facilitator and peer leader during the Immersive Day Retreat.
- Consult on program content and assist with recruitment efforts across five LA Adamah Campus Chapters.
- Provide student perspectives to staff regarding innovative programming and ideas.
What you'll need#
- A strong background in Jewish student or communal engagement.
- Experience in data tracking and analysis, including proficiency with the Microsoft suite.
- Familiarity with environmental language and initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
- The ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively in a virtual environment.
- Preference is given to current Adamah on Campus chapter leaders, though this is not required.
