About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment. You will work alongside experienced IT professionals to support employees, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage devices. The role runs from June 2027 through May 2028 and requires approximately 20 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Provide Level 1 technical assistance to users through walk-up and other support channels.
- Troubleshoot Windows PCs, Macs, iPhones, iPads, and peripheral hardware.
- Support the setup, configuration, and deployment of end-user devices.
- Assist with employee technology onboarding and new-hire hardware setup.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications across Windows, macOS, and iOS.
- Help resolve device and network connectivity issues.
- Gain exposure to Microsoft Azure and Intune for device management.
- Assist with onsite IT support for business meetings.
- Collaborate with local and remote IT teams to resolve user requests.
- Create and update knowledge articles and troubleshooting documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and support activities.
- Participate in IT projects and follow established support processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university.
- Interest in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows, macOS, and iOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with the setup and troubleshooting of PCs, Macs, and mobile devices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to explain technical information in a clear, user-friendly way.
- Professional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and support processes.
