About the role#
We are looking for a Corporate Finance Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work 37.5 hours per week on-site in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. This role focuses on automating existing Excel-based financial models by building interactive, AI-driven dashboards. You will gain hands-on experience in financial analytics and data visualization while working with Finance, FP&A, and IT teams.
What you'll do#
- Convert current Excel financial models into automated, interactive AI dashboards.
- Design visualizations to track financial trends like YoY and QoQ changes, LE updates, and regional headcount.
- Build drill-down functionality that moves from global totals to specific regional expenses and account details.
- Integrate expense and headcount data into a single, user-friendly interface.
- Use AI tools like Co-pilot and ChatGPT to build automation solutions.
- Validate data accuracy, source mapping, and alignment with finance reporting standards.
- Document dashboard logic and data sources for future handoff.
- Present your progress and final deliverables to Finance leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.
- Basic to intermediate experience with PowerBI or similar visualization tools.
- Understanding of prompt engineering and experience building solutions with ChatGPT.
- Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and expense categories.
- Ability to manage large datasets with high attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear verbal and written communication.
- Preferred: Experience with Power Query, DAX, data modeling, SQL, or headcount reporting processes.
