About the role#
This internship offers exposure to the operational side of the pharmaceutical business. You will work with the Field Operations team for Summer 2027 to support data strategy, field force effectiveness, and incentive compensation projects. This is a full-time position requiring approximately 37.5 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Learn the core data sources, definitions, and governance practices that support Field Operations.
- Assist with a specific data quality, documentation, or process-improvement assignment.
- Participate in governance meetings to track decisions and action items.
- Gain insight into field structure, territory alignment, and effectiveness processes.
- Support defined analyses related to field planning and execution.
- Learn how the team produces and uses recurring field reports and dashboards.
- Assist with validating or improving a selected report or reporting process.
- Gain exposure to incentive compensation plan design, administration, and controls.
- Communicate project progress, questions, and risks to your team lead.
- Deliver a final presentation summarizing your project work, key learnings, and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.
- Preference for rising juniors or rising seniors.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Interest in data strategy, pharmaceutical business operations, or incentive compensation.
- Ability to understand business processes and document requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data science, visualization, or workflow tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
