About the role#
The DacotahGrown internship is a 10-12 week program running from May through August 2026. You will gain exposure to the full scope of banking operations, ranging from agricultural financing to small business support. This role provides an inside look at how various departments collaborate to serve customers and maintain the organization. You will work on special projects and spend time in specific areas of interest to build your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Learn about the financial industry through departments like Lending, Credit, Retail, Insurance, Trust and Wealth Management, Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, and Talent Management.
- Build professional relationships and understand the needs of our customers.
- Participate in customer visits.
- Develop soft skills and engage in personal development sessions.
- Prepare and present your internship experience to bank management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a business-related major such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Agriculture, or Business Administration.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as a motivated self-starter.
- A diligent, sincere, and hardworking approach to learning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
