About the role#
CSA Group is hiring a full-time Water Quality Co-op Student for an 8-month term starting in January 2027. You will work on-site at our Toronto laboratory. This role offers the chance to learn from experienced technicians, build core project management skills, and gain hands-on experience with laboratory processes.
What you'll do#
- Support internal lab work, processes, and project delivery.
- Learn to operate laboratory Test Measurement Equipment.
- Perform testing on plumbing products according to standards like CSA, NSF/ANSI 61, and NSF/ANSI 372.
- Review customer product data specifications and assess data to prepare technical documents.
- Assist with the preparation of certification documents.
- Participate in the ISO 17025 Quality Assurance program.
- Help improve lab efficiency by automating test forms.
- Provide regular status updates to managers and certifiers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 1st to 4th year Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology) or Engineering (Chemical, Environmental) program.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use simple hand tools.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and the ability to learn internal software programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Personal accountability and a drive to learn new technical skills.

- Compensation: $24.60-$31.48 CAD per hour.
