About the role#
We are seeking a Product Development Engineer Co-op to join our team in Delta. This role is designed for a student who has already shipped and maintained live software and is looking to apply those skills in a product-focused environment. You will work on meaningful projects that improve how our customers configure and interact with our gas detection and air quality systems. This position offers mentorship from senior engineers and the opportunity to see your work move from development through to live deployment.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and deploy web and mobile applications for product configuration and management.
- Re-architect internal tools into scalable, cloud-hosted systems.
- Design and manage database schemas, migrations, and infrastructure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
- Contribute to front-end development using React, React Native, or similar frameworks.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Document development processes, design decisions, and testing outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related co-op program.
- Demonstrated experience building and deploying live, production applications.
- Working knowledge of database schema design, queries, migrations, and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with modern web development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or React Native.
- Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools as part of a modern workflow.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Location: Delta, British Columbia, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid co-op.
- Term: Rolling, with 4-month or 8-month options available (8-month terms preferred).
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
